" THE LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 192G, AND " THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT LOANS BOARD ACT, 1926." The Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Birkenhead hereby give notice, in pursuance of the above-mentioned Acts: — (1) That it proposes to engage in the following undertakings and for that purpose to raise Three Special Loans for the respective amounts and upon the respective securities set out in respect of each undertaking. (a) For the * acquisition. of a Recreation Ground at Birkdale and the construction of a Swimming Pool near Birkenhead Wharf, the sum of £3250 on the security of a special annually-recurring Rate of 3-16ths of a penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property ill the Borough of Birkenhead. (b) For the construction of Boat Lockers, Staging and Skid, near the Birkenhead Wharf, the Bum of .£470 on the security of a special annually-recur-ring Rate of l-32nds of a penny in the £ on the uniiriproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Birkenhead. (c) For the augmenting and extending the Water Reticulation, the sum of £5230 on the security of a special annually-recurring Rate of 19-64ths of a penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable properties of the Borough of Birkenhead. (2) That the currency of each of the said loans shall be thirty years, with provision for Sinking Funds of at least li per centum per annum. (3) That the rate of interest payable in respect of each of the said loans shall not exceed C per cent, per annum. (4) That the Birkenhead Borough Council proposes to pay out of the said respective loans the costs, charges and expenses of, and in connection with, the raising thereof respectively, but not the interest or Sinking Fund thereon for the first year.
