MANY MOTORISTS FINED. * CASES OF DANGEROUS DRIVING. B _ 7 Prosecutions of numerous motorists for 3 breaches of by-laws occupied the attention of Mr. P. X. Hunt, S.M., and Mr. W. R. McKcan, S.M., in the Police Court ■ yesterday. A fine of £6 was imposed on C. M. Rich-White for dangerous driving. It Was stated lie registered a speed of 46 miles an hour on the Great South Road. Stanley H. Bidwell, who drove at 41 miles an hour, was fined £5. On similar charges A. R. Dallow, A. E. Thomas, J. I Williams and Stanley M. Chiles were fined £2. a fine of 30s being imposed on . A. ,T. Whatling. L. G. Patterson, P. j Stubbing, E. Guinan and R. J. Williams, f G. A. Paul was fined £1 for negligent driving and £2 for using obscene language subsequent to a collision which occurred j between his vehicle and a cart. " For negligent driving Percy Campbell 3 and Shew Ke were fined £2 each, Campbell also being fined 10s for having no driver's licence. On a charge of passing a tramcar. G. H. Townsend was fined £2, Wesley Kidson being fined a similar amount for 5 speeding. 1 Fines of 10s were imposed on the following for having insufficient lighting W. R. Cook, 'A. Kinnaird, G. E. * Love, H. McTsaac. S. G. Fountain, E. J. 1- Kretschmar, G. IT. Pearce, W. R. Pear- - son, T. Richards. L. Adams, S. B. Atkinson, E. C. Bowden, E. R. Eadv, .T. I). P. French, IT. A. Gyllies, C. A. Hicks, ,T. G. Hillem, C. Heye. H. Jackson, C. D. .Tones, L. R. Mitchell, A. G. Pillinger, .T. C. Ross, W. G. Ross, A. J. Sutton, H. Warner, H. Withers, C. Ebberton, D C. Sutherland and Mary A. Early. , For leaving cars unattended, J. Stewart, i E. R. Norton and A. V. P. Ford were , each fined 10s. Similar fines were imposed on C. J. Clark for parking a car in Dur- , hain Street and J. E. Seagar for parking i at an angle. C. Coward and G. S. Clark . were each fined 10s for parking in Queen Street. A. K. Sorrison and H. J. Adams were each fined 10s for riding a cycle on a footpath. A. Robson was fined 10s for pillion riding. For failing to obey a traffic officer, H. Anderson and K. B. L. Leonard were „ each fined 30s and A. J. Buttle was fined £l. On charges of having no driver's ' licence, E. Mansfield was fined £l, and > A. R. Stewart and D. O'Dwyer 10s each, i The last-named was also fined 10s for j having an unregistered car. Kenneth McLaren was fined £2 for * failing to keep to the left of the road. , On a similar charge, G. A. Avery, jun., was fined £l. ' Fines of £1 were imposed on L. A. P. " Weatherall for turning to the right and on Cecilia. McGregor for cutting a corner. SimilaV fines were imposed on G. S. Lockhart and G. R. Elliott, the former for having a vehicle on the footpath and '• the latter for passing a car on Grafton Bridge.
