RAUPO DRAINAGE AREA.
PROBLEM BEFORE BOARD. CONFIDENCE OF RATEPAYERS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] * DARGAVILLE. Wednesday. A largely-attended meeting of ratepayers of tho Raupo Drainage Board's distinct was held at Ruawai to discuss tho administration of the board's affairs. Mr. W. .Wallace, who presided, said that when the present board toofl office it had found there was very little money to spend. The cost of administration on. works amounted to 43 per cent., which was far too high, and it was realised that something had to be done to reduce this cost. An a result the meeting had been called and the board would welcome constructive criticism. Eventually a motion was carried expressing confidence in the present board.
