WEDDINGS.
St. Matthew's Church was the scene of the wedding last evening of Miss Agnes Blumhardt, only daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. J. Blumhardt, to Mr. Alexander Scanian, son of Sir. and Mrs. W. Scanian, of Edendale. Canon James officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white georgette frock with pointed draperies at one side, and a girdle of silver. Her tulle veil was caught to th» head with a coronet of orange blossOm and she carried a bququet of white chrysanthemums. Miss Livinia Swanson was bridesmaid and v;ore a frock of shellpink taffeta with a scalloped hem. Her head dress was of tulle and she carried a bouquet to tone. Mr. Stephenson was best man. The marriage of Miss Elsie King, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. King, of Apia, Samoa, to Mr. Harold Johns, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Johns, of London, England, was celebrated in St. Matthew's Church iast evening. Canon Grant Cowen officiated at tie ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Mr. McKenzie, wore a frock of ivory georgette trimmed with small georgette rosebuds tipped with gold. Her tulle veil was caught to the head with a chaplet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white and pink flowers. Miss Olive King and Miss FrancßS) Slater were bridesmaids and wore frocks of fuschia shot taffetas with tiered skirts. Their head-dresses were of silver tissue with a loop on - one side and they tarried bouquets of red chrysanthemums and dahlias. Mr. Fcwler was best man. . The wedding was celebrated in St. Matthew's Church last evening of Miss Thelma Eva Kidd, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kidd, of Auckland, to Mr. Edward Vivian Cunnold, second son of Mr. F. Cunnold, of Auckland. Canon Grant Cowen performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine, with pear! trimming round the waist, and a large pearl ornament afc one side. Her embroidered Brussels net veil formed a long train and was caught round the head with a wreath of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies. Miss A. Broderick was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of- Naples blue crepe de chine with a silver flower on the shoulder. Her head-dress was of tulle and she carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. Little Batty Marshall and Chrissie Kidd -were flower girls, and wore frocks of lavender .-and cameo pink crepe de chine respectively. Their head-, dresses were of tulle to tone and they carried small Early Victorian posies. Mr. Fred Cunnold was best man. The wedding was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church. Waipu, On Tuesday of Mr. William McKenzie Griffin, of Maungaturoto, and Miss Isabella Mary Evelyn McLeod, late district nurse of Waipu, and daughter of Mr. Neil McLeod, Onerahi. The Rev. 6, W. Blair performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a frock with a tight bo.dice of silver lame, and full powder-bine georgette skirt with uneven hem line hand-appliqued in silver. From the shoulders fell a "silver tissue train lined with powder-blue georgette, and her veil of powder-blue tulle was handappliqued in silver and formed a train. She carried a shower bouquet of blue hydrangeas and white roses with blue streamers. The two sisters of the brida were bridesmaids. The chief, Miss Kathleen McLeod, wore a dress of carnation pink taffeta, with tight bodice and frill scalloped skirt appliqued with green. The second bridesmaid, Miss Pan McLeod, was in lettuce green, taffeta, appliqued with pink. Both were hats; of gold lame. Miss June Hall, niece of the bride, acted as flower girl. Mr. Murdoch Griffin was best, man and Mr. F. McLean groomsman. The marriage of Miss Alice Batelle Swanwick, only daughter of Mrs. S. Swanwick, of Ake Ake, Waiuku, to Mr. Lan Marshall Rutherford, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. S. Rutherford, of Awhitu Central, was celebrated at kt. Mark's Church, Remuera, yesterday afternoon. The Ven. Archdeacon MacMulrray performed the ceremony. The briue, ■ who was given away by Mr, J. E Ashley wore a frock of ivory georgette, the bodice being mounted on briar rose..pink chiffen, with a silver yoke inset. The hem of the ankle-length skirt was vandycked in silver lace, and a girdle of si'lver leaves and pink roses was worn round the waist. Her veil of Hem ten lace was caught to the head with small clusters of orange blossom over each ear, and a bouquet of white gloxinias, roses and pink rosebuds was carried. Miss Dorothea Wyatt and Miss Marian Rutherford sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids, and wore frocks of briar rose pink georgette slightly gauged in front- with silver yokes and girdles of silver leaves. Rose Marie head-bands were worn and bouquets to tone were carried. Mr. Walter Rutherford was best roan and Mr. William Rutherford was groomrnww,
