POWER AT NEW PLYMOUTH.

SYSTEM AGAIN RUNNING. SUPPLY NEARLY NORMAL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. "With the new 36-inch pipe line in commission the New Plymouth hydro-electric system is now running under something like normal conditions, although the full supply of power will not be available until the second pipe lino which the repairs involve is ready for use, which will probably be at the beginning of next week. In the meantime any inconvenience due to the shortage of power will be negligible in comparison with the position during the past fortnight. Sufficient water is now being secured to fill the 36in. pipe line, and repairs to the control va/ve mechanism, which failed to act yesterday, ha.ve been delayed until next Sunday, when the system will have to be shut down to connect up the second line of pipes which will complete the repairs.
