AUSTRALIAN ATHLETES.

COMPETITORS AT OLYMPIAD.

QUARTERS IN AMSTERDAM.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR TRAINING. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received May 6, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. May 5. The members of the Australian Olympic team will arrive on June 14. They will stay at a hotel in a quiet part of South Konsington, within 10 minutes of Hyde Park. This is as central as possible for training purposes. Captain Vicary Horniman Hays it has been difficult to arrange accommodation for the team, as so many different kinds of sports are represented. He says the cyclists will probably train at Herne Hill and the athletes at Stamford Bridge. The swimmers will train at various clubs in London. Thero is no shortage of gymnasium facilities. The team will go to Amsterdam on July 16, where they will be accommodated one hour's journey from the stadium in a private hotel. Private charabancs will convey the athletes and swimmers to the stadium, where they will practice. Pearce, the rower, will have to go out of Amsterdam to practice on a canal where the Olympic races will be rowed. It is narrow, and only two rowers are allowed on it at the same time.
