Italy, was to have been begun at Genoa to-day, but owing to bad weather play had to be abandoned. A special representative of the Australian and New Zealand Press Association at Genoa, writing yesterday, said Crawford, who has been suffering from an influenza cold, was better. In the afternoon Crawford showed a glimpse of his true form at practice. Patterson said Crawford was hitting more cleanly, although he was not as active as last week, when his form was brilliant. The people of Genoa are doing their utmost to honour the Australians. They have provided a special flagstaff for a locally-made Australian flag. The Italian team must not be under-rated.
