WHEAT. Wlieat.—Cargoes are steady arid sellers are occasionally higher. Buyers continue reserved. Parcels are firm at 6d advance. Trading is slow. Liverpool futures: May, 10s llgd per cental; July, lis 3d; October, lis 4gd. QUOTATION FOR LINSEED The Department of Agriculture has received tho following cablegram, dated May 3, from Messrs. Lendale and Clark, Limited, Calcutta, with reference to the linseed market: —We quote £l7 for, linseed per ton net, c. and f., Sydney, for immediate shipment. Market steady but quiet.

THE RUBBER INDUSTRY. AUSTRALIAN DEVELOPMENTS. An announcement has been made by Mr. E. M. Perdriau, general manager of the Perdriau Rubber Company, that the directors of the Dunlop Rubber Company and tho Perdriau Rubber Company have decided to explore tho possibilities of association between the two companies. Immediately any decision is reached a further announcement will be made. DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. QUOTATIONS IN LONDON. A. H. Turnbull and Company has received cable advice from its principals. W. Weddel and Company, Limited, dated London, May 4, as follows:—Danish butter, 179s to 180s per cwt.; New Zealand, unsalted butter, 166s to 1725; salted, 162s to 1665. The market is quiet. New Zealand cheese, white and coloured, 96s to 98s. The market is firm. Canadian cheese, white, 110s to 1.145; coloured, 108s to 110s.

Dalgety and Company, Limited, has received the following -cablegram from its London house, dated May 4:—Butter: Tho market is very quiet, and the demand has fallen off. Finest New Zealand butter. 162s to ]66s; Australian, choicest butter, 152s to 1545; exceptional, 1565. Mr. W. W. Bowker has received the following cable from London, dated May 4:—Butter: The market is quiet. Now Zealand, finest, 164s to 1665; first grade, 162s to 1645; finest unsalted, 170s to 1765; Danish, 178s to 180s; Australian, 152s to 1545. Cheese: The market is firm. Finest, white and coloured, 97s to 98s; first grade, 96s tn 975.

Mutton.—Wethers, market steady; ewes, light stocks; there is a good demand.

Frozen Beef.—Market is stronger owing to lighter supplies of Argentine chilled beef. New Zoaland Pigs.—Baconers, fair demand ; porkers, there is a poor uemand owing to the end of the season.

PUKEKOHE MARKET REPORT. ]HV TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] PUKEKOHE, Saturday. The Franklin Farmers' Auctioneering Company, Limited, Pukekohe, report that at the weekly sale at their mart yesterday, poultry was entered in good numbers. Young hens sold at Is Gd to 2s: old hens at Is Id to Is 4d: young cockerels, at lOd to Is 4d: roosters, at 3s Id to 5s 9d; and ducks at, 2s 7d to 4s. Vegetables were in good sitprily. Cabbages realised Is a dozen, the quality not the best: lettuce. Is a dozen; carrots, parsnips, and beetroot. Is to Is 4d a dozen bundles; marrows. 3s to Bs a dozen: pumpkins, 8s ner cwt; onions, 4s to Ss a sugar bag: local potatoes. 2s Od to 4s a sugar bafr. and Southern potatoes. 5s a sugar bug and 8s fid per cwt. Rhubarb brought 6 s a dozen bundles, and citron melons from 2s fid per cwt.. Apples were in heavy supnlv, b"t a Inrire n"nn'uv of poor sample. Delicious sold at 2s fid to 5s Gd a ease, and Sturmers. Bnllarats and Granny Smiths at 6s. Furniture and sun dries realised usual rates. WAIHOU STOCK SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report having held their usual fortnightly sale nt Waihou, when there was a pood yarding of cattle and pigs, all being quitted at satisfactory nrices. Quotations are:—Medium fat ewes, 24s to 255: medium fat lambs, 24s to 24s 7d; forward lambs. 21s. Prime heavy fat cows, ill; medium fat cows, i'fi 14s to £7 10s; heavy fat cows, £8 5s to £8 17s; lighter, £5 5s to £6 2s 6d; plain and unfinished. £4 10s to £4 17s fid: fresh stores, £3 12s fid to £4: others, £2 10s to £3 ss; boners.
