[BY TELEGRAPH. —-PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] BLENHEIM, Thursday. Haslem Luff, aged 24, a waggon-driver, of Havelock, had a. remarkable escape from death last evening. Ha wag shooting at Pelorus with a rifle, loaded with a highexplosive bullet, which was discharged when he slipped. The bullet passed through the palm of his right hand, ploughed a furrow up the side of his neck and face, and clipped a piece off bis ear.
