BISHOP IMPRISONED.
CHARGES BY SOVIET. | SENTENCE OF TEN YEARS. (Received January 20, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. MOSCOW, Jun. 28. A Roman Catholic bishop, Monsignor Skalsky, who is of Polish nationality, has been sentenced by the Soviet to 10 years' imprisonment on charges of counterrevolutionary activities, agitating against Soviet clubs, agitating on behalf of Roman Catholic clergy in the Ukraine, sheltering Polish priests, and illegally crossing the frontier. A further charge el' espionage was dismissed.
