OBITUARY.

MR. JOHN McLEAN. The death has occurred of Mr. Johr McLean, a resident of Onehnnga for thpast 16 years. The late Mr. McLer was born in 1837, in the island of Cr r off the coast of Scotland, and arrived i New Zealand in ISSO. For many y.rr he was in the employ of the late ?' J. J. Craig. He spent his life in Taranaki and saw active service in the Maori War, including the battle of Wai reka. He is survived by Mrs. Loveridgp four sons and four daughters.
