NEW MELBOURNE STATION.
RESEARCH WORK THE OBJECT Working under the call-sign, 3WI, a Sew short-wave amateur telephony station •will shortly commence operation in Melbourne, The station will be controlled by the Wireless Institute of Australia, and its function will be mainly for the carrying out of research work. Details of the time' of transmission and the wavelength .to be used will be announced shortly.
