NATIVE MOTHER FINED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. PUKEKOHE, Wednesday. A native woman, Tera Cooper, of T? Kohanga, Tuakau, was fined 5s anr costs, £1 2s, in the Pukeko'ne Police Court this morning for failing to senr her child, aged 11 years, to school." H. S. Small, attendance officer for th r Education Board, said the child was ei rolled as a scholar at the Te Kohanp School, but was being kept home ajjpai ently to do farm work.
