WEDDINGS.

An evening wedding of considerable interest took place at the Waipu Presbyterian Church lsst week, when Dona Fraser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. McMillan, of Braigh, Waipu, was married to Dr John H. Rule, of Ruawai. The Rev. R. Rule,' father of the bridegroom, assisted by Rev. Blair, officiated. The bride was in a frock of pale crenie georgette and silver tissue, over creme satin. She wore a beautiful veil caught at the head with pearls, and carried a .pretty bouquet. She was attended by her sisters, Jean, in blue, and Anna, in pink, each carrying beautiful bouquets. Dr. Burnett, of Whangarei, was best man, and Mr. Clive Ellis, of New Lynn, acted as groomsman.

The marriage took place at St. Matthew's Church yesterday afternoon of Gertrude, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Clark, of Ponsonbv. and Lionel Noble, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Young, of Mount Wellington,; Mangere. Canon Grant Cowen officiated. The bride wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine and silver lace, with an embroidered veil caught round the head with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet. The brideimiaids, Miss Dorothy Clark, sister of the bride,, and Miss Frances Young, sister of the bridegroom, were frocked in mauve crepe de chine and shell pink crepe de chine respectively. Their head-dresses were of silver, and they carried shower bouquets. Miss Mary Thompson was a tiny flower girl, wearing a frock of blue crepe de chine and silver. A wedding which created a large amount of interest in the district was celebrated at St. Paul's Church, Putaruru, yesterday, when Mr. C. H. Hunt, LL.M., of Auckland, and eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Hunt, of Valley Road, Mount Eden, was married to Miss Phyllis May Ward, only daughter of the Rev. E. Ward, vicar of Putaruru, and Mrs. Ward. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. W. Ward, and the ceremony was performed by her father. She was attired in a beautiful picture dress of ivory satin trimmed with silver lace, and an embroidered tulle veil, fastened into position with pearls and orange blossoms, .with bouquet to tone. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Nellie Hunt, district nurse at Mokai, sister of the bridegroom, who wafe gowned in apricot silk with silvet lace overdress, the other two bridesmaids being the Misses Hilda and Isobe\ Hunt, who wore mauve crepe de chine, and silver tissue, and swathed tulle headdresses to match. Each carried beautifu. bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by his business partner, Mr. J. Crosby, as best man, while his brothers. Messrs. Leslie and Ronald Hunt, carried out the duties of groomsmen. After the cere mony a reception was held in the ball, the guests numbering nearly 200. Mrs. Ward wore delnhinium blue embroidered net, and Mrs. Hunt, mother of the bride groom, was attired in navy blue and fawn 'crepe de chink.
