A,a- 17 Tho purchasers of Wembley Stadium are credited with planning a grandiose scheme for roofing the entire arena m order to stage not only the dog racing cup matches and the Football Association Cup final, but. also Rughv. baseball, tennis and boxing. The scheme would enable sports to be carried on all thiough the year, by day and night, regardless of the weather. li is proposed to build a sliding glass roof, with panels to afford ventilation. Artificial heating would be installed for use in winter.
