TOURNAMENT CONCLUDES.

AUCKLAND'S EASY VICTORY

RESULTS OF SWIMMING EVENTS

The annual tournament between„ the Auckland and Wellington Training Colleges was concluded yesterday, when Auckland won tho swimming contest at the Tepid Baths. This gave it a total of 15 points against three points secured by Y\ ellington during the tournament. The swimming events were keenly contested, and there were some very close finishes. Auckland won seven out of the eleven events on the programme. At the conclusion of the programme tho tournament trophy, the Milne's Memorial Bowl, was presented to the Auckland team by Mr. K. J. Barling, president of the Y\ ellington executive, who congratulated Auckland on its almost overwhelming victory.

Ihe president of the Auckland executive, Mr. K. D. And erson, presented tho V\ aghorn Vase, won by Wellington in the debating contest, and congratulated the Wellington debaters upon their success.

Ladies' Free Style, 33 l-3yds.—Miss Lietz {Auckland), 1; Miss Brownleo (Auckland), 2. Time 225. Ladies' Breast stroke, • 66 2-3vds.—Miss Lane (Wellington), 1; Miss Julian (Auckland), 2. Time, 1 7 4-5.

Ladies' Free Style, 66 2-3vds.—Miss Brownleo (Auckland), 1; Miss Lictz (Auckland), 2. Time, 51s. Ladies' Relay Race.—Auckland, 1. Time, 1.40 2-5.

Diving.—Miss Gardner (Wellington), 1; Miss Brown'ee (Auckland), 2.

Men's Free Style, 33 l-3yds.—A. Gladding (Auckland), 1; R. Tasked (Wellington), 2. Time, 19s. Men's Free Style, 66 2.3yds—R. Tizard (Auckland),* 1; P. C. Minns (Auckland), 2. Time, 47 2-ss. Men's Free Style, 200vds.—A. Gladding (Auckland), 1; R. Henderson (Auckland), 2. Time, 2.50. Men's Breaststroke, 100 yds.—A. Zohrab (Wellington), 1; C. F. Ray (Auckland), 2. Time, 1.36 4-5. Diving.—R. Taskcr (Wellington), 1; A. Zohrab (Wellington), 2. Relay Race. —Auckland , 1. Time, 1.19 2-5.

The members of the Wellington team returned heme by the second express last evening. They were accorded an enthusiastic farewell at the station by members of the Auckland team and their friends.
