FRANCE AND GERMANY.
POINCARE SEEKS PEACE. DAWES PLAN AGITATION. A REPROOF ADMINISTERED. WAY TO RAPPROCHEMENT. By Telegraph—Presu Association—Copyright. A. and N.Z. PARIS. June 19. Important references to the relations between France and Germany were made by the Premier, M. Poincare, at the unveiling of a war memorial at Luneville. M. Poincare said France was not seeking reasons for maintaining perpetual hatred and resentment toward Germany. But why should high authorities in Germany carry on a campaign with tho object of demanding a revision of the Dawes plan? If Germany stated definitely that no attempt would be mado to regain AlsaceLorraine. either by violence or by trick; if sho reorganised her police, dissolved her military societies and destroyed her for tresses; she would give the world guarantees of her pacific intentions, and facilitate a rapprochement which Franco would not be tho last to desire.
