A sensationaJ attack upon a party of Communists was made at Leningrad. A debato was in progress at the Communist Club when two bombs were thrown into the room. The missiles exploded and 26 of the Communists were seriously injured. The bomb throwers escaped, firing revolvers as thej' ran. LTTYINOFFS CHARGES. BRITISH OFFICIAL VIEW. RUSSIANS STILL IN LONDON. "Obviously ridiculous," is the comment made at Downing Street on the clumsy attempt made by the Soviet's deputy Commissar of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Litvinoff, in his Note to the Polish Government, to link Britain with the responsibility for the assassination of Mr. Peter Voikoff. In reply tu comments on the fact that large numbers of Russians have been allowed to remain in London since, the raid on Soviet House, officials point" out that those "who were included in the list compiled after the raid have already left. The others are only in permissive residence here, and this permission is subject to periodic review.
