APPETISING DISHES.
Savoury Rico.—Bril in the usual way 5 pint of lice and when the water ha 3 evaporated, stir in loz. butter, 2 tablespoonfuls tomato catsup, and a good seasoning of salt and pepper. Add 2oz. of finely grated cheese and ftir till quite hot Turn ,on to a dish, sprinkle with loz. grated cheese and browu lightly under a grill. Sausages m Batter.—Fry sausages on a fairly quick fire so"that they are well browned on the outside before they arecooked inside, and then lay them in a very hot baking dish containing about 2 teaspoonfuls hot fat. Then pour round (not over) a batter made as follows: Mix 2 eggs with 3 tablespoonfuls flour, pepper and salt to season. Add by de T grees one pint milk and beat up well. Cook altogether in a fairly quick oven for about 15 minutes. Rhubarb and Raisin Pie. —Line an enamel plate with thin paste about oneeighth of an inch thick. Wash, peel, and cut into -V-meh pieces, enough rhubarb for two cups, and put on the paste. Sprinkle with one cupful sugar andl liait cupful halved and seeded r . a 'f'l sS " ,v ' i' p w.th a top layer of cms* than the bottom one and bake in moderate oven for 4b minutes.
