£250,000 SUBSCRIBED.
WINNER'S SHARE £75,000
(Received April 2G, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON, April 26. The receipts for the London Stock Exchange's mutual subscription, otherwise Derby sweepstake, have reached the record figure of £250,000. Thousands of applications for tickets had to be refused. The prize money will be allocated as follows: — The winner will receive £75,000; subsidiary prizes will amount to £90,000; those who draw the 300 nominated horses will divide £60,000; and a sum of £25,000 will be given to charities. The interest on the fund for six weeks will pay all the expenses.
