MORE REFEREES REQUIRED
The Management Committee of the Auckland Football Association met last evening, Mr. A. Menziea presiding. An. application from the Newmarket Club to rugrade W. Chesney to the second division was agreed to. It was reported that three games were not played on Saturday owing to nou-at-tc-iidance ot referees. Mr. T. G. Wilkes said more refanees were required in Auckland this year. No new members had been elected this year, and the competitions had increased in sisse. He hoped that clubs would make an effort to enlisit the services of any retired footballers. The matter was referred to the Referees' Association. C. Rae was granted a transfer from Ponsonby third grade B team to the club's third grade A team. The withdrawal of Onehunpra from the third grade open section was approved. The Junior Management Committee applied for 92 halls for schools and fifth to seventh grades. The matter was referred to the Finance Committee for a report. Mr. .7. T. Jennings was appointed chairman of the Management Committee of the Referees' Association, in place of Mr. T. G, Wilkes, who has resigned. Mr. J. Low, and another to he appointed will art as linemen at Blandford Park on Saturday. Following is the senior draw for May 7:-—Thist'ft v. Navy Denot. Blandford Park.
