MOUNT ROSKILL BOARD.

CHAIRMAN'S RETIREMENT,

LONG RECORD OF SERVICE.

Associated with the Mount Roskill Road Board for the pa:;fc 16 years, the sitting chairman, Mr. S. Scarborough, is not seeking re-election on May 7. The board, which has hitherto comprised seven members, will in future have a personnel of nine. Messrs. Scarborough, T. S. Lamont, "13. Brewer and J. R. Robertson retire by rotation, the last two named being candidates for a further term, together with Messrs. E. R. Allen, J. T. Chadderton, T. Cummack, T. Davies, E. W. Foote, E. F. Jones, R. J. Mills, C. Perrins, A. E. Roxburgh, P. J. Sefton, W. H. Smith and F. 6. H. White—-14 nominees for six seats. The three sitting members who will continue in office are Messrs. L. A. Tozer, W. W. Kerr and A. S. Belcher. The question of rating on the unimproved value will be made an issue at the referendum on the date named.
