AUSTRALIAN MOTOR-CYCLING STRATTON WINS AT SYDNEY. (Received April 24, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, April 24. At the Sydney Speedway yesterday, Spencer Stratton, New Zealand, won the Diamond Helmet race of six laps in 3m. 24 2!-ss. His average speed was miles an hour. At the Melbourne Motordrome, the Austral Wheel Race resulted as follows: Hanneman 1, Brown and Shane (dead heat) 2, Foden 4. Won by four lengths. Time 4m. 2 3-ss. The Austral Motor-paced Handicap resulted : Opperman 1, Beath 2, Fibaud 3. Won by four lengths. Time 3m. 57 2-ss. BOXING AT SFDNEY STADIUM. HALL AND TORRENS WIN BOUTS. DOMINION OLYMPIC TEAM. ACCOMMODATION AT AMSTERDAM A. and N.Z. LONDON, April 22. A New Zealander who is in touch with the' Amateur Athletic Association suggests that if the authorities apply in time the New Zealand Olympic team might be attached to the British team fol- board and accommodation the 1928 games at Amsterdam. WRESTLING AT MELBOURNE. YOKEL DEFEATS KARASICK. (Received April 24, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE, April 24. In a wrestling contest at the Melbourne Stadium last evening, in the sixth round of a bout between Yokel and Karasick, the latter was disqualified for grasping the ropes. Yokel, who throughout had appeared to the better advantage, was declared the winner. PROFESSIONAL BILLIARDS. DAVIS DEFEATS INMAN. (Received April 25, 6.35 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON. April 24. In the semi-final of the professional billiards championship Davis defeated Inman. The winner reached his 8000 up when Inman had scofed 6859.
