NEW YORK TO PARIS.
FLIGHTS BEING PLANNED.
COMMANDER BYRD TO TRY,

A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON, Feb. 8. The American naval aviator, Commander Byrd, who last year flew across the North Pole, will attempt to fly from New York to Paris shortly. A Fokker aeroplane similar to the one used on the Polar expedition will be employed. Commander Byrd hopes to make the attempt in May.
