The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Otaki, which loaded at 'New Zealand ports, including Auckland, and sailed from Lyttelton on December 23, reached London last Monday. THE lONIC. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner lonic, after unloading cargo from London at Pri:ice's Wharf, is to sail on Monday for Wellington to complete discharge. SubseQuently the vessel will load at Lyttelton and Wellington. She ia scheduled to leave Wellington finally on March 9 for Southampton and London, via Panama. Tho Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross and the Harbour Board's floating crane are to be docked this afternoon to have their hulls cleaned and painted. THE CAMBRIDGE. The Federal Line steamer Cambridge is to sail at four o'clock' this afternoon for Wellington iind Lyttelton to complete loading for London and West of Great Britain ports. KAITUNA RESUMING. The Kaituna, which has been in port since October 9, is to be recommissioned. The vessel is to be moved from the stream to King's Wharf to-morrow morning, and at mid-day is to sail for Westport. KAWATIRI FROM FIJI. Tho Kawatiri is due from Australia and Fiji at eight o'clock this morning. She will berth at_ Prince's Wharf to discharge fruit from Fiji and coal from Newcastle. S'he will be,- despatched for Newcastle on Saturday. H.M.S. DIOMEDE. H.M.S. Diomede is scheduled to return to Auckland from _ Russell to-morrow afternoon. The warship will remain in port until March 2. when she is to leave for a cruise to Southern ports. W A ITEM AT A AT VANCOUVER. The Union Company's transpacific steamer Waitemata reached Vancouver from Westport on Tuesday. She is to load at Vancouver and San Francisco for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. THE wXIHEMO. With cargo from Pacific Coast ports the Waihemo was to leave San Francisco last Monday for Pago Pago, Apia, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Wellington. MATATUA LOADING. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matatua arrived at Napier from Newcastle on Tuesday to commence loading in New Zealand for England. The vessel will also load at Wanganui, Timaru and Wellington and is to sail from Wellington for London on February 26. THE OTARAMA. The' New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Otarama is to sail at mid-day today for Wellington Lyttelton, Dunedin. Sydney and Melbourne in continuation of her voyage from St. John. THE NORTHUMBERLAND. Tl»e disabled steamer Northumberland, which is en route from Gisborne to Auckland for repairs, reported at mid-day yesterday that she was progressing satisfactorily and expected to arrive to-morrow morning. On arrival she will berth at King's Wharf to unload cargjjjf' from No. 2 hold before going into dock. CANADIAN PLANTER. The Canadian Planter is due at Wellington to-day from Timaru to continue loading for New York, Boston and' Halifax. On Saturday the vessel is to sail for Naoier and Auckland to complete loading. She is due at this port on February 15. and is to be despatched the following day for New York.

MOERAKI'S MELBOURNE SERVICE. The Union Company's intercolonial passenger steamer Moeraki, which left Wellington -on Tuesday evening, is due at Melbourne on Sunday night. She is scheduled to sail next "Wednesday for Wellington direct, then going to Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. THE DEVON. Having completed loading in New Zealand Federal Line steamer Devon is due at Wellington from Napier to-morrow to replenish her bunkers. On Saturday she is to be despatched for New York, Boston, Halifax, Glasgow, Avonmouth and Liverpool. PURIRI REPORTED. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Puriri, en route from Antwerp and Canada to New Zealand, cleared Newport News on February. 2. The cargo i 3 for discharge at Auckland,. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth, Melbourne and Sydney. The vessel is due at Auckland about March 10. , LAMB STEAMER OMANA. The Lamb steamer Omana is to sail at five o'clock this evening for Tauranga and Gisborne to complete unloading poles, and .coal from Australia. She will return to Auckland about February _22 to commence loading timbor for Australia, and will complete loading at Northern ports.

JARRAH FROM BUNBURY. . The Japanese steamer Saka Maru is expected at Auckland about February 19 with a full cargo of jarrah from Bnnbury. She will unload at Auckland. Wellington and Dunedin. SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE. The Royal Mail liner Makura is due at Wellington from San Francisco, Papeete and Rarotonga on Monday morning. After landing passengers, mails and cargo for New Zealand, she will resume the voyage to Sydney on Tuesday. The Royal Mail liner Maunganui is scheduled to reach San Francisco from Wellington on February IS. She is to Bail on February 23 on the return voyage to New Zealand and Australia and is due at Wellington on March 14. THE WEST NIVARIA. The American steamer West Nivaria arrived from San Pedro yesterday morning and berthed at Central Wharf to unload 1500 tons of lumber, case oil and general merchandise. The rem&inder of the cargo is for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Melbourne. The cargo was loaded at Vancouver, Seattle, Oakland, San Fran cisco and San Pedro. The West Nivaria sailed from San Pedro on January 15. Except for two days' boisterous conditions fine weather prevailed on the voyage Captain H. N.
