CANCER RESEARCH FUND.
A GENEROUS DONOR. SCIENTISTS IN* CONTROL. THE PROBLEM OF HEREDITY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received Jan. 31, 5.5 p.m.) Times. LONDON. Jan. 30, The Paris correspondent of the Times states that Mr. Leonard Rosenthal has donated 1,000,000 francs to assist cancer research under the control of a scientific committee. The latter includes Dr. Roux, director of the Pasteur Institute, and Madame Curie, the radium expert. The committee has decided to utilise the fund to enable the Pasteur and the Radium Institutes to investigate the question whether cancer is hereditary. In 1924 Mr. Rosenthal donated a similar sum to assist young scientists to prosecute their researches.
