CRIME OF VENGEANCE.
MURDERS IN LITHUANIA. RELATIVES OF THE PRESIDENT. (Received Jan. 30, 4.30 p.m.} A. and N.Z. BERLIN. Jan.. 23. A terrible crime of vengeance is reported from Kovno. The brother of General Anton Smeetoua, the new President of Lithuania, and his family were found murdered at their residence, which had been robbed and burnt. It is stated that the outrage was perpetrated by Communists as an act a revenge against the President, who condemned five Communists to death a few weeks ago.
