RETAIL TRADERS.
| A STAFF INSTRUCTRESS. The annual meeting of the Auckland Drapers', Clothiers' and Boot Retailers' Association was held last week, the president, Mr. G. M. Fowlds, presiding. Mr. J. S. Milne reported on his endeavours while abroad to obtain a suitable staff instructress for the New Zealand Drapers' Federation. After consideration it had been decided that the easiest course would bo to send a New Zealand woman to an American school of instruction for some time. The question would receive further consideration at the ' next conference of the federation. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. G. Ashley; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Court and T. Clark; executive committee, Messrs. G. 0. Blakey, Hugh Caughey, Harold Court, G. M. Fowlds, S. R. Hawkens, W. Marks, J. S. Milne, J. R. Rendell and A. Walker (drapers and- clothiers); and Messrs. E. E. Kitchener, W. H. Nagel and F. A. Smith (boot retailers.)
