AMATEUR CYCLING.
MANIJKAU CLUB'S TRIAL. A "time trial" over a distance of five and a-half miles was conducted by the Manukau Amateur on Saturday when, in spite gf the wet weather, thirteen riders competed. No pacing was allowed, the competitors starting at ono minute intervals. The placings were as follow:—W. Watts (lm 455). ]om 51s. 1: A. Sercombe (lm 20a), 17m 2 l-.Ss, 2; G, Rose (2m), 17m 35a, 3. Fastest time was registered by 11. McElroy (scr), whoso time was 16m 28 l-ss. Watts and Sercombe were next in order. This was the last road race of the season and ridors aro now engaged in track training.
