A SAD CASE AT NELSON. [by telegraph.—press association.] JTELSOJv, Saturday, The teacher in charge of the public school at Upper Takaka, Miss Avis Alberta Field, was found dead yesterday, death being due to hanging. Miss Field, who was 24 years of age, was looked upon as a teacher with special qualifications. Her parents reside at Collingwood. Miss Field went through the Training College at Wellington four years ago. During the past week she was off duty for a day pt two- jjliealth.
