EXPRESSES DELAYED
SLIGHT MISHAP TO LIMITED. ENGINE DRAW-GEAR BREAKS. A slight mishap befel tho limited express from Auckland last evening, the draw-gear between the engine and the tender breaking when the train was between Huntly and Taupiri. The train immediately camo to a standstill A relief engine was sent from Huntly and pushed the train to Taupiri, where repairs were effected. The schedule time for tho train to pass through Taupiri is 9.4 and owing to tho breakdown it was 10.42 before departure could be taken, this being a delay of 1 hour 38 minutes. The second express from Auckland was detained at Huntly pending repairs to the limited, and did not' reach Frankton until 11.50, 1 hour 20 minutes behind schedule. The train due at Auckland from Frankton at 11 o'clock was held up and did not arrive until after one o'clock this morning.
