TO-DAY'S WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening: Fine weather will prevail in most places, although with increasing cloudiness. Further unsettled weather to follow, as a new disturbance is cxpectod from the west. Westerly winds, moderate to strong, varying to north and freshening. Seas moderate. Barometer, midnight, 29.85iu.; rising. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Present indications arc for south-westerly breezes, veering to freshening northerlies. Cloudy, unsettled and showery weather may bo expected on all the western coast and southernmost districts, with warm and changeable conditions elsewhere.
