DEATH BY DROWNING.
INQUEST AT DUNEDIN. [by tklkoiu prr.—own correspondent.] DUNEDIN, Wednesday An inquest concerning the death of George Young, whoso body was found in the harbour on the morning of September 25, was held this morning beforo Mr. ,T. R. Bartholomew, S.M. Sergeant Gilligan represented the police. Andrew Cohurn Goodlet, a Harbour Board employee, said ho saw a body floating in the water at the foot of Hanover Street about 10.30 a.m. on September 25. He assisted in removing the body. Witness said it would have been easy for anyone to fall into the water at that part of the harbour .as there was a lot of loose planking where the Drainage Board was carrying out its work. The coroner said that as deceased was rt stranger to the place it was possible that in taking a walk along the waterfront ho had slipped in through a loose plank.
