WEDDING.
A wadding toc-lc. place in Otorohanga last Wednesday evening at St. Bride's Church, when Evelyn, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Benner, of Otorohanga, was married to James Harvey Evans, second iion of Mr. and Mrs. J, H. Evans, of Wailtjno. Tho Rev. C. J. Bush-King, vicar of Otoroh&nga, performed the ceremony. • Tho church was most artistically decorated with Clusters of ferns and daffodils, hound with coloured streamers. The bride, who entered tho church on the arm of her father, wore a gown oi ! shell-pink silk taCeta, with a deep hem of silver lace, finished with a largo flat bow of silver and pink rosebuds at the waistline. Her veil of pink tulle was held in place by a head-dress of pink and silver rosebuds. She carried a bouquet of pink daphne, anemones, cyclamen and ferns. .Miss l)ori3 Benner and Miss Gladys Williams wore bridesmaids. Miss BennSr wore a frock of pale green silk, georgotto, with a veil of tulle to match, ana a stiver rosebud bandeaux.' Miss WUlitefis* ff lhx:k was primrose-coloured gcorgetto, _< with veil and bandoaux to match. Their bouquets were of daffodils, fresias, primroses and mauve stocks. Mr. Alec McClean, ,of Ngatea, was best man, and Mr. Chapman, of Thames, was groomsman.
A very pretty wedding was solGmnised at Holy Trinity Church, Qisbornc, on Wednesday afternoon, when Floris Mildred, second daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Vincent Barker, of Gisbome, waa married to Victor Thomas Copoland Savago, eldest son of the late Dr. T. C. Savage and Mrs. Savage, of Remuora, Auckland. Canon Packe officiated.. The church had been beautifully decorated, and a floral arch formed a picturesque setting for th© bridal party. . From tho arch was suspended a wadding bell, artistically decorated with flowors and maiden hair fern. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a beautiful gown of ivory knife-pleated georgette over silver tissuo, with train of georgette. A beautiful Iloniton lace veil caught with a coronet of orange blossoms; completed her toilette, and her bouquet was of cyclamens in pastel tints. Miss Jo\\ Barker, sister of the bride* ; and; cltfet, ll.bridcsjVjitfjfl/, and Misses Audrey Barker, ' cousm of the bride, and Janst -Graham, wore dainty frocks df"jvois. tulle veils with gold tissuo flowers. Their bouquets ware composed of daffodils and gold tulle. .Two little'bridesmaids,./Misses Marye Savage, sister of the bridegroom, and'Jeanette Blair, wore silver and White frocks, with veils caught with ■ silver posies. They carried early Victorian posies of primroses and gold tulle. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Max Bull, of Auckland, and the duties of groomsmen wori! carried out by Messrs. D. Barker and W. Sherratt. After the wedding a reception was held at Ulverstone, Kaiti, tho residence of the bride's parents. r
