SUPPLIERS DISSATISFIED.
DAIRYING AT . KAIKOHE. ANOTHER FACTORY CHOSEN. [iiS TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] KAIKOHE, Sunday. The Kaikohe suppliers to the Bay of Islands Dairy Company's factory at Ohaeawai have decided by referendum to send their supplies this season to the Hikurangi factory. This action is the outcome of friction between the Kaikohe suppliers/and the management of the Bay of Islands factory. The principal source of dissatisfaction appears to be the want of action on the part of the company in selecting the best site for the factory. At present the factory is situated at Ohaeawai, which is off the railway line. In 1914 there was a movement to transfer the factory to the line, and Mr. Yalintine, of the dairying division of the. Department of Agriculture, s.t the invitation of the directors, made a report on the question. He selected Kaikohe as the most' suitable place for the factory, provided a suitable service was in force between Kaikohe and Okailiau. A suitable service is now running between these points and the Kaikohe suppliers consider that effect should be given to Mr. Valintine's recommendations. The directors maintain that the report is out of date.
