RUAPEHU SKI CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING HELD. FUNDS FOR GLACIER HUT. The annual meeting of the Ruapehu Ski Club, Incorporated, was held at the Whakapapa Huts, National Park, on Saturday, Mr. W. S. N. Rennie presiding in the absence of the (president, Mr. W. Salt. The annual report and balance-sheet, details of which have already appeared in the Herald, were read and adopted. It was decided to write to the National Park Board again stressing the urgency of action to eradicate heather from the park.
A resolution was passed requesting the committee to consider methods of raising money to erect an enlarged glacier hut, form ski courses and print a booklet setting out the activities of the club and the attractions of the park. A resolution was carried expressing regret at the absence of the president owing to illness, and appreciation of his services to the club. A total of 28 new members was elected. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. W. Salt (Wanganui),-vice-president, Mr. A. D. Mead (Auckland) ; secretary, Mr. L. M. Lennard (Auckland); treasurer, Mr. C. S. Cooper (Wanganui); committee, Messrs, F. H. Latham (Wanganui), A, D, Brodie (Wanganui), W. S. N. Reams (Wanganui), F. Black (Wellington), L. N; Scott (Auckland); H. M.
