VICTORIA CRUISING CLUB. THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The twenty-fourth annual meeting of the Victoria Cruising Club was held in the clubhouse last evening, the patron, Mr. E. H. Davis, presiding over a large attendance. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the chairman congratulated the club on the success it had attained during the past year. The finances were indeed sound, which spoke well for those who had charge of the affairs of the club. He appealed to all present to do their very best, for the club and yachting generally. In returning ihanks for his election as patron, Mr. Davis said that of all the positions held by him theTe was none that was more appreciated by him than his present office. 'The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. E. H. Davis; vice-natron. Mr. -E. R. Davis; president, Mr. W. L. Casey; vieenresidents. same as last year; commodore, Mr." C. Hogan; vice-comffiodoro, Mr. W. Arnold; rear-commodore, Mr. J. Lindsay; secretary, Mr. J. McGehan. assistant secretary. Mr. G. Tylecoat; treasurer, Mr. W. J. Matthews: auditors, Messrs. E. O. Johnson and A. V. Swales; delegates to Auckland Yacht *»nd Motor-boat Association, Messrs. G. Mooherley and E. C'ulhane; cornmitt'>e. Messrs. R. Francis. F. Stevens. A. Lewis. A. Perkins, F. Hosa".
