COLLAPSE OF A CHILD,
A NECESSARY OPERATION.
[BY TELKQJIAPH.—PIIES3 CHRIBTCHUECH, Sunday. The adjourned inquest into the death of Stewart James Rennie, aged five years, was concluded tp-day. The child became suddenly HI on July. 25 and died under an anaesthetic. Dr. Sandston stated that he was called by Dr. Johnston to attend the child, who was almost unconscious when he ar- j rived. Respiration was difficult. and! clearly tho child could not live more than a few hoari! without surgical aid. It was suffering from acute inflammation I and obstruction, to tbe throat.,.
