WEDDINGS.

A wedding of considerable interest in the Awhitu district, Waiulra, took!place on August 11, when Mr. Joseph S. L. Walters, son of Mrs. Margaret Walters, of Awhitu, was married to Miss. Edna Brook, youngest daughter of Mr. ! and Mrs. F. Brook, Awhitu. The ceretaony, which took place at the residence of Mr. A. Lee, was conducted by the Rev! J. C. Fussell, vicar of Waiuku. . The bride, -Who was given away by her father, was gowned in ivory crepe-de-chine, tritamsd with lace and pearls. The orthodox veil and wreath of orange blossoms was worn and she carried a bouquet of white ; flowers. Miss Elsie Morgan, as bridesmaid, was gowned in palo heliotrope geojgefcte and carried a sheaf of white daisies. The duties of best man wore carried out by' Mr. F. Brook, jm\, brother of the bride.

An evening wedding of much interest in Mangere was solemnised at St. Matthew's Church on Wednesday,. July 28, when Miss Florence Violet Gallahilr, of Hobart, was married to Mr. Lewis Henry Taylor, of Mangere. The officiating minister was the Rev. P. S. Smallfield, Epsom. The duties of. best man were carried out by Mr. Lawrence C. Better, Remuera, and the bridesmaid was Miss NV Johnson, lato of England. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Prosser, Epsom, wore pale lemon crepe-do-chine, with long georgette sleeves, edged,! with pearls and the inset georgette yoke was edged with pearls. The orthodox, veil, with coronet of pearls and orange blossoms, was worn and a beuutiful bouquet was c&rried. The bridesmaid's dress was of champagne crepe-de-chine and she carried a shower bouquet of pink carnations and sweet peas-
