FAIL OVER A CLIFF.

DROP OF THIRTY-TWO FEET.!

INJURIES TO YOUNG WOMAN.. POINT CHEVALIER ACCIDENT. A fall of 32ft. over a cliff at Point Chevalier on to the beach resulted in Miss Hilda Murley, aged 18, of Miller Road, Point Chevalier, receiving injuries to her back and hip which necessitated her removal to the Auckland Hospital. At about 10.45 on Saturday evening; Mr. S. H. Gallagher, who lives on tho foreshore, heard cries from the beach anci on going out found the girl lying on the sands, unable to move. He removed her to his house and she was subsequently taken to the hospital. Miss Murley said she was walking through the Point Chevalier .Reserve and! must have been nearer the edge of thei cliff than she thought. Her condition late last evening was reported to be satisfactory.
