AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.

Business, very. quiet at the single call on the Auckland sharemarket on Saturday. The inquiry for Government securities was a little brighter, than it was on Friday, but no sales were made. In 'banks there was demand for Nationals of New Zealand, at £6 16s, - sellers £6 17s. New Zealands also showed a small' advance, buyers offering 61s, sellers 61s 6d. In insurance South British.quotations' advanced to £3, buyers being unchanged at £2' 18s., , layers .of New were easier at £l 19s 3d, the offer failing to attract' quotations.' In gas Aucklands were available at' 23s 3d, buyers 22s 9d. The contributing issue, which was quoted at 12s .3d, on Friday, .eased to 12s, , buyers being unchanged at lis lOd.ln shipping there was sale in Northern Steams, at 15s 3d. In miscellaneous Colonial Sugars were done at £54 10s. In mining Moanataiaris (con.) had sale at .2s and Grand Junctions at 3s 9d and 3s lOd. The following sales took place:—Northern Steam', 15s 3d;; Cdldnial Sugar, £54 10s; Moanataiari (con.), 2s ; Waihi Grand Junction 3s 9d and 3s lOd.

[BY COftBJESPONDENT.] ' PUKEKOHE, Saturday. ; The Franklin Fanners' 'Auctioneering Co., Ltd.,■ Pukekbhe, report:—At tho weekly -sale at our mart yesterday there was a good attendance. Pigs were entered in good numbers and sold to a keen demand. Good weaners' brought 20s to 275; poorer weanera, 12a to 15s; slips; 30s and stores- ; £2 2a-. Poultry wad in heavy supply and the class of bird was above the average at this market. In light breeds hens realised 2a to 2s 3d, and in heavy breeds.'3s to 4s 2d. Boosters brought-3s. 6d to ss; turkey hens. 7b; turkey gobblers, 12s;, and ducks, 3s 2d to 3s 64 Vegetables came forward m heavy consignments. The. demand. was good, bat failed to clear the supply. Cabbages sold at 3s to 4s per light sack and Is to Is 4d per dozen loose; cauliflowers, 3a to 3s 9d per sack and Is 6d to 4s per drzoen loose; carrots, 2a to 3s per sugar bag; parsnips. 2s per sugar .bag; and bpet, Is 6d per dozen bundles. Swedes were not in demand. Fruit was plentiful. In apples. Dehoious brought 7s to 9s per blishol case; Starmer, 9s; and other kinds, ss• to 7s 6d. - Oranges brought Is 3d a dozen and lemons'from 4d a dozen. A quantity of fruit tresis sold at from 9d to Is 2d each.
