AUCKLAND CLUB. PROGRESS OF CHAMPIONSHIP, The semi-final stages in the club championship. of the Auckland Golf Club were reached last week, and as a result R. D. Wright, the Auckland provincial champion, will meet W. S. Ralph in the final. The match between W. S. Ralph and C. A. Bowen was played during tho week nnd resulted in a win for the former, .2 and I. Conditions for play were splendid, nnd Ralph bad the better of the game practically throughout. Bowen was short ill both his approaches and putts, but this lapse can be accounted for by the fact that he had just returned from playing on the Rotorua course, where conditions round the greens are much faster than at Middlemore. Ralph played good golf nnd did 79. R. D. "Wright met G. F. Colbeck in the semi-finals and the match was played w'lhile ruin was falling continuously. Colbeck had a good chance of defeating the provincial champion as he was up on him until the 14th hole. He could not hold him after that. Wright played well and won the next four holes and secured a well-deserved win, 3 and 1. Ir { tho junior championship. C. M. Jacobscn beat P. B. Morris, 3 and 2. The other semi-final between H. P.
