WINTER BOWLING.

FUNCTION At AVON DALE. CENTRE EXECUTIVE'S VISIT. The president and, members of the executive of the Auckland Bowling Centre paid the Avoridale Bowling Club an official visit on Saturday. The visit was highly appreciated by members of the Avondale Club, who assembled in full force to welcome the visitors. Members of the Croquet Club provided afternoon tea. During the afternoon Miv J. W. Hardley received hearty congratulations on being elected president of the Dominion Bowling Council. Messrs. Thompson and Gladding were also congratulated on their election to th'e council.
