There were'lively proceedings in the Magistrate's Court yesterday when three hotel workers sued Charles Pro van, union secretary, for 3s, money paid by them as entrance fee to the new Southland Union of Hotel Workers, allegedly under a misapprehension. Mr. G. S. Thomson, Duriedin, appeared for the, plaintiffs. He had many heated exchanges with counsel" for , the defence arid with defendant.
