ILLEGAL FISHING ALLEGED.
SEIZURE BY INSPECTOR. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] FOXTON, Saturday. At an early hour this morning Constable Owen, local inspector of Fisheries, accompanied by Constable Ryan, surprised two men ongaged in alleged illicit whitebait fishing in u closed creek at Mana-. watu'Heads. Fish and nets were confiscated, and Court proceedings will probably follow. Heavy fines have previously been inflicted for illicit fishing in this creek.
