CHURCH OF CHRIST.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE TO-DAY. The general conference of the Church of. Christ will be opened this afternoon at the Church of Christ, Dominion Road, when representatives of the Church from various centres will be in attendance. In the evening a united gathering will be held when reports •on the various activities of the. Church will be presented. ' A special -meeting wis held on Wednesday evening-when Mr.. W. G. Carpenter, of Wellington, -presided. . The speakers were Messrs. J. *C. Laing, M. G bister, W. E. Vickery and T. J. Bull. '
