MARQUIS OF SALISBURY.
A QUAINT CEREMONY. A and N.Z. VANCOUVER. Aug. 19. At Calgary the Marquis of Salisbury, who' is on his" way;to Australia, was unexpectedly greeted at the station by Chief Jim Starlight in the regalia of an Indian chief. He admitted the marquis to the Sarcees tribe and named him the " Chief Eagle Plume." The marquis knelt, on a blanket and was presented with- a buckskin vest and gloves. :
