NOTES BY PICADOR. SIRES OF THE SEASON. . Our Thorpe is included among the noteworthy sires stationed in tho Waikato this season. In his racing days Our Thorpe who is a descendant of O.Y.M. from the Younf Irvinsfcon mare Lady Thorpe, was responsible for many attractive performances—one mile in 2m l-ss. a inile and a-quarter in lm 41 2-ss, and two miles in 4m 30s being down , to' his credit. Our Thorpe is located at Te Awa, Frankton Junction, and further particulars can be obtained from. Mr. Amos Durrant. Koromatua. MISCELLANEOUS NOTES. Applications for the position of handicapper under the Auckland Trotting Club close at noon next Tuesday. Richore, winner of the New Zealand Sapling Stakes at Ashburton, lias been purchased from Mr. R. W. Franks by Mr. G. Barton and will in future be> trained by W. J. Tomkinson. The progeny of Logan Pointer registered seven wins and three minor placing 3 at the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's August meeting and accounted for £ 2575 in stake money.
The New Zealand Tortting Register for 1925-26 came to hand this week, and in every respect it is lip to the standard of previous editions.
