Lancashire, in their first innings against Somerset made 192, (Green, 50, Makepeace, 60). White took six wickets for 81. The second innings yielded 183, (Makepeace, 63, McDonald, 50). Somerscts's first innings produced 214, (Lyon, 83). McDonald took five for 96. The second innings total was 45 for three wickets. The match was abandoned owing to rain.
