COX'S CREEK IMPROVEMENTS.
Sir,—May 1 ask space to call attention to a matter of interest to many boatowners in the western districts, viz., the proposal by the City Council to fill in the whole of Cox's Creek r*bove the new concret-e bridge. In this area thei'e are ,at present thirty-three yachts and launches hauled ilp for the' ■winter and the number .increases yearly. If I,his is now to be , filled in, why was the bridge built ? A culvert 'would have sufficed. I suggest that a basin should be left open from Eegsna Street to tha edge of the mangroves on the south-west, and so provide safe winter quartos for our pleasure craft insula the bridge and at no extra cost. A. Francis.
